Gabriella Von Ille

Founder and Managing Partner
Gabriella is a strategic communications and reputation management specialist. Born and raised in Sweden, Gabriella started her career in the Office of Congressional and Public Affairs for a financial regulator in Washington DC. She thereafter took a job as a journalist, which exposed her to diverse parts of Latin America and Africa particularly in the mining and energy sectors. In 2013 she founded Lifa Communications and has since grown the company in to one of Africa’s leading communication agencies focused on sustainability.

Camilla Osborne

Partner & Head of Strategy and Evaluation
With over 15 years of experience, Camilla is a seasoned communication & reputation management professional. She was previously Head of Communication for The Coca- Cola Company responsible for 18 countries across Southern & East Africa. Prior, she was Head of Sustainability for a strategic advisory firm, Africa Practice. With a Masters from LSE in Environment & Development, Camilla uniquely applies her sustainability background to communication and marketing expertise. Camilla is a globally certified Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP®).

Nirvani Pillay

Partner & Head of Content and Media Relations
Nirvani has 15-years’ experience as a public relations and marketing professional. She spent almost two decades in the ecotourism sector where she fell in love with conservation and sustainability practices across Africa. She is a Professional Associate of the Institute of Marketing Management, and her skills range from content creation to strategy development and general team management. She is a problem solver always looking for the best win-win scenarios for all stakeholders.

Mahali Molapo

Partner & Head of Digital and Engagement
Mahali is a research and strategy driven self-starter with over 8-years of experience in communications and brand strategy in the mining, renewable energy, technology, finance, and retail industries. Over the years she has created and implemented strategies that directly impact internal operations and external reach; positioning the brands she has worked with as thought leaders in their respective fields. Her passion for her career and love for the continent has also exposed her to a plethora African of cultures, languages, experiences, and indigenous stories.

Paul Leisegang

Head of Business Development
Paul is a strategic marketing and communications executive with over decade experience in mining, corporate social investment and philanthropy. Delivering results-oriented projects both locally and internationally, Paul has a proven track record in Marketing Strategy, Global Partnerships, Investor Relations, Reputation Management, Digital and Social Marketing.

Marcia Mudau

Senior Account Executive
Marcia has overseen PR and Communications functions over the past six years. She holds excellent multi-media relations skills and has good experience in communication strategy, reputation management and social media campaigns. Her organisation skills are exceptional, and she manages multiple projects including media buying, analytics and branded corporate collateral. As an honours graduate in Communications, Marcia has excellent all-round communication skills.

Chantelle Kotze

Content Creator
Chantelle is a media professional who has spent the past decade as a journalist specialising in the mining and metals sector in Africa. Skilled in long-form feature writing, breaking news, online writing, multimedia production, and editing, she has a deep understanding of the African natural resources sector. She has fulfilled several roles at mining magazines to a global audience and more recently has worked as a freelance journalist and copy writer.

Janine Paiken

Content Creator & Social Media Manager
Janine has nine years of experience within the digital marketing space, specialising in copywriting and social media marketing. She is a creative at heart, intuitive, and enjoys developing fresh ideas and solutions. Her years of experience working for various agencies has given her the ability to work across a variety of different brands, and she thrives in settings where she can use her energy and optimism to find alternative solutions to the status quo. Janine has an undergrad in communications from UNISA, and an honours in Strategic Brand Communications from Vega.
